Old quarter express in medieval Erfurt
Erfurt's fascinating history experience by bus
Discover Erfurt comfortably from the bus. Get on at the Domplatz-Süd special stop for a short, fascinating tour through the medieval old town of Erfurt. With a small, agile bus you drive through the narrow streets, past churches and houses steeped in history. Our experienced city guides accompany each tour personally. The journey starts with a view of the Domplatz with the ensemble of the Cathedral of St. Marien and St. Severi, two former collegiate churches. The world's largest medieval free-swinging bell, the "Gloriosa", is located in the central tower of the cathedral.
The journey continues via Benediktsplatz with our Erfurt Tourist Information, past the Krämerbrücke, one of Erfurt's landmarks and the longest bridge in Europe that is continuously built on and inhabited by houses. From here you can get to the Wenigemarkt, which was an important trading center in the Middle Ages.
Along the Angers, the city's shopping street, you can admire different architectural eras from Art Nouveau to the Bauhaus.
After a 45-minute drive you will reach the starting point again – Domplatz Süd.
